Endowment

The endowment is the University of Florida’s steadiest and most reliable source of funding. These donated assets are permanently invested to generate an annual return and provide continual financial support.

Endowments provide a unique opportunity to eternally support what you care about most. These gifts can be designated for a specific purpose or for unrestricted general support. UF’s endowment is comprised of more than 3,000 individual funds that support faculty and students, including professorships and financial aid for undergraduates, graduate fellowships, and student life and activities.

Endowed giving minimums

  • Named endowed fund: $30,000
  • Term professorship: $300,000
  • Professorship: $ 1 million
  • Chair: $2 million
  • Dean/Director: $5 million
