Our collective team helps to guide corporate and foundation partnerships for the University of Florida’s colleges, centers and institutes. We work to build strong collaborations where mutual strengths, interests, and impacts align.

Our Approach

The Corporate and Foundation Relations team helps catalyze partnerships with the University of Florida—a land, sea and space grant institution, the state’s flagship university and a research enterprise that spans 16 diverse colleges and a multi-site, multidisciplinary academic health system.

We connect students, faculty members, university programs and health care resources with corporations and foundations in the following ways:

Philanthropy

We link corporations and foundations with University of Florida programs, increasing campus visibility and engagement with the UF community while creating positive change. Strategic philanthropic opportunities include research projects, scholarships, fellowships, programmatic support, naming rights, endowments and more.

Research Collaboration

University of Florida is a top-performing research institution and academic medical center that pioneers innovative discoveries. Our team links industry with UF researchers to create mutually beneficial partnerships across a range of fields, from biotech and pharmaceuticals to law, marketing, data science, and beyond. We work closely with UF’s sponsored research, clinical trials, and commercialization efforts and can facilitate introductions when desired.

Student Engagement

Our office partners with UF’s Career Connections Center and Business Career Services to help external partners interact with our 60,000+ undergraduate and graduate students across campus and beyond. Opportunities include student engagement and recruitment for internships, experiential learning and dynamic job placements.

For Faculty & Staff

Our office plays a vital role in catalyzing meaningful connections between faculty, staff and students at UF and industry partners, foundations and other private organizations by:

• Identifying partners who are the best fit for UF’s research, education and impact goals.
• Developing substantive and reciprocal relationships with our partners.
• Collaborating closely with faculty and staff to create and submit tailored proposals that align with our partners’ preferences and priorities—enabling us to achieve our shared goals.
• Facilitating proposal submissions through the UF Foundation, Inc. when a funder considers an award an unrestricted gift or requires that the applicant organization have 501(c)(3) status.

UF Health

University of Florida Health is the Southeast’s most comprehensive academic health center. UF Health includes six health-related colleges (Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, and Public Health & Health Professions), research institutes and centers, three not-for-profit hospital systems which include 10 hospitals, plus a host of physician medical practices and outpatient services throughout Florida.
