Research

Few universities are more capable or better positioned than UF to solve society’s biggest challenges. As one of the world’s most comprehensive research universities, we are addressing problems, discovering solutions and finding was to improve almost every aspect of how we experience life: from our health, homes and recreation to our financial wellbeing, educational opportunities and emerging technologies.

Our strength is our size and depth. Just five other universities in the nation boast as many programs of study. We have 200 research, service and education centers, bureaus and institutes. An astonishing 43 of UF’s 5,000 faculty are members of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering, the Institute of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. All of which makes the University of Florida a 21st century leader in innovation and discovery.
