Barbara was an avid gardener and grew a variety of plants. She readily shared her plants and plant knowledge with others. Barbara had a way of putting at ease the folks she talked to and was always willing to help with projects. She enjoyed volunteering at the Palm Harbor Library Master Gardener Help Desk and the Green Thumb festival, and she wrote articles for “The Dirt” quarterly Master Gardener publication. She truly enjoyed being a Master Gardener and fought her illness for as long as she could so she could continue to be as active as her health permitted. Despite her illness, she reached out to friends to see how they were doing and did not focus on her own suffering. She was a true, caring friend.
