Thomas Family Memorial 4-H Endowment
GA: support St. Johns County 4-H youth attendance at 4-H University, with preference for youth presenting and/or competing in topics related to conservation, nature, and the outdoors. Funds may also support participation in forest ecology, marine ecology, and beef and vegetables related competitions at the state and national levels.
Established by family and friends in memory of Freddie Thomas and his son, Stephen Thomas, this fund honors their mutual love of the outdoors by supporting UF/IFAS Extension St. Johns County 4-H youth members.
Freddie led a 4-H club in the 1970’s and spent many weekends camping, planting trees, and teaching youth about the great outdoors, skills that would serve them for a lifetime and impart the same love of all things outdoors. Stephen also loved 4-H and was a passionate advocate for the outdoors, with a particular love of camping and fishing.
The fund supports St. Johns County 4-H members attending 4-H University, with preference for those presenting in topics related to conservation, nature, and the outdoors. It also supports participation in state and national 4-H competitive events related to forest and marine ecology, beef and vegetable farming.
