Thomas D. “Don” Moore Scholarship Fund
Pre-endowment. This fund has been established to help rising juniors and seniors in journalism who have shown an interest in writing watchdog stories or covering the military and veteran communities. It honors Southwest Florida journalist Thomas D. “Don” Moore, whose stories held local and state lawmakers accountable to the public for their actions. He also was passionate about chronicling the tales of Southwest Florida’s veterans, all of which are now located in the Library of Congress. Moore was a graduate of the University of Florida’s School of Journalism and Communications.
