Lisa Conti One Health
Support One Health efforts of the Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Lisa Conti is the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ first Chief Science Officer and an alumna of UF College of Veterinary Medicine. Dedicating her career to One Health, the connection between the health of humans, animals and the environment, she has written and co-authored numerous journal articles on One Health, public health, HIV/AIDS surveillance, vector-borne and zoonotic disease topics. Recognized nationally and internationally for her work, she has received the American Veterinary Epidemiology Society Gold Head Cane Award, Florida Public Health Woman of the Year Award and the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Public Service Award. According to Lisa, she never, ever lost sight that any achievement attributed to her was a group effort, and felt extraordinarily lucky to be part of a transdisciplinary team of excellent mentors and dedicated colleagues working toward salubrious solutions.
