Provenance Initiatives Fund at the Center for NeuroGenetics
Fund Purpose
Develop a world class translational "Bench to Bedside" care delivery system of innovative therapeutics treatments for ALS. We will focus on the most common pathology and the most common genetics cause. Project 1 - Project 1a ALS Gene Discovery - Objectives: to identify novel expansion mutations that cause ALS in patients with unknown forms of ALS. Project 1 - Project 1b Cell Line Development and Characterization - Objectives: to generate patient derived lymphoblastoid (LCL) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell lines from patients with unknown forms of ALS.
