Allie Katherine Animal Abuse Continuing Education Fund
Support continuing education in the veterinary forensic program.
The Allie Katherine Animal Abuse Continuing Education Fund was established by Dave and Tatia Heine in honor of their rescued Boston Terrier, Allie Katherine, who was a victim of animal cruelty.
Veterinarians and forensic specialists play a central role in the investigation and prosecution of animal abuse and neglect. It is essential that such professionals have a thorough understanding of the roots of animal abuse and neglect and the connection of such crimes to interpersonal and societal violence.
This fund was established to provide continuing education for veterinarians and law enforcement professionals to help gain fundamental knowledge of the signs of animal cruelty and neglect.
