Wilmot Gardens Autism Initiative
Fund Purpose
Support the Autism Initiative at Wilmot Gardens to offer therapeutic horticulture, gardening and job skills training and placement assistance to people with autism spectrum and related disorders. The principal goal of the initiative is to offer respite while simultaneously cultivating vocational, social and independent living skills in a supportive, active and engaging environment. For participants with interest and capacity, specific job skills training, job and internship placement, and subsequent employment support may also be provided.
