This fund was established in memory of the beloved Dr. Sey Park by the department of community health and family medicine and Dr. Park’s family with the purpose of supporting residents and medical students caring for underserved populations as well as educational programs and initiatives that highlight the importance of maintaining resilience and promoting wellbeing.

Dr. Park attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies, medical school and was in his second-year of family medicine residency at UF Health at the time of his passing.

Well-regarded by colleagues and patients alike, Dr. Park was best known for his jovial personality, kindness and compassion.

“Sey was widely known at UF Health and very popular among not only his classmates from the class of 2016, but also many of our current students,” said Michael L. Good, M.D., dean of the UF College of Medicine. “His joyful spirit and fierce devotion to patient care was infectious, and his passing represents a profound loss for all of us.”

Dr. Park unexpectedly passed away on January 9, 2018. He will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him, and his legacy will be ensured at the UF College of Medicine through the generous contributions to this fund in his name.
