Drug Safety Fund

The UF College of Pharmacy is translating big data into even bigger, healthier and safer outcomes. It’s no secret that drugs can do amazing, positive things for your health, but drug safety – discovering harmful side effects that could potentially do more harm than good – is of the utmost importance.

Real-life medical miracles can turn into health threats. Many drugs have raised serious safety concerns after FDA approval, often because they were tested on only small samples or patients different than you. At the UF College of Pharmacy, we are working hard to gather and translate literally millions of real-life results into effective knowledge that can catch harmful side effects before they hurt you or your family. Making a gift to this fund will provide opportunity for pharmacists to improve and save patients’ lives in a whole new way.
