Precision Medicine Fund

The Precision Medicine Fund supports research that seeks to identify and then use in the clinical setting the factors, genetics and otherwise, that improve efficacy and reduce toxicity/side effects through use of personalized patient data.

The UF College of Pharmacy is spearheading the personalized approach of precision drug therapy.  Two major areas come together to advance this goal, the Center for Pharmacogenomics (and Personalized Medicine Program) and the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology.   This approach helps to identify the right drug and/or right dose for individual patients and more and more of our data suggest this leads to improved patient outcomes.
