History
Dr. Clare Houseman established this scholarship in 2017 in memory of her mother, Phyllis Butler Woodell. Phyllis was from London and worked at the English Embassy in Washington D.C. during WWII. Dr. Houseman received her master’s in nursing from the UF College of Nursing. She taught at Old Dominion University for 40 years. She started teaching in the psych program and then established the doctoral program there.
