This fund was established in 2015 in memory of Robert N. Lowe, Jr. and supports scholarships to students in the Master Accounting Program at the Fisher School of Accounting.

In 1980, Bob Lowe’s hard work paid off when he received his bachelor’s of science in accounting and in 1981, his master’s in accounting, both from the University of Florida. Bob had a 21-year career with Arthur Andersen, where he held several leadership positions. In 2004, Bob joined Alvarez and Marsal, a growing consulting firm that specialized in turnaround management and corporate restructuring. Just two years later, he led the development of the firm’s first global tax practice, Taxand. As a result of his tireless work as CEO of Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, the practice now rivals historically established firms.

Bob sat on the Fisher School of Accounting Steering Committee for 24 years and the Warrington College of Business Dean’s Advisory Board for 16 years. He was also the director of several charities, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Diabetes Research Institute and was a founding officer/director of the Miami Children’s Hospital Civic Council.

Robert passed away in 2015. He is survived by his wife, Tammi, and two children, Michelle and Robert II
