R. Donna M. Baytop, M.D.
This endowed scholarship was established by Dr. Donna Baytop in 2015.
A native of Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Baytop earned her undergraduate degree in pharmacy from Florida A&M University. She continued her education at the University of Florida where she graduated from the College of Medicine in 1976. She then went on to complete her residency in urban family medicine at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Baytop now serves as the medical director for Solar Turbines, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial gas turbines. As medical director, Dr. Baytop cares for thousands of workers scattered around the globe in 30 countries, while also managing three onsite occupational medical clinics caring for employees in California and Texas. Dr. Baytop has served the company proudly for more than 30 years.
Dr. Baytop is a proud graduate of the University of Florida, serving on the Board of Directors for the UF Foundation. She and her husband Allen reside in San Diego, CA and have two children.
