GA: Shall initially be used to support education and research initiatives relating to orthopaedic trauma in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation within the College of Medicine. Donors' wish that as this fund grows from future gifts, that the spendable income will then be used to support fellows in orthopaedic trauma. (See GA)

Established in 2013 by Drs. Suzanne and John Spanier to honor Dr. Richard Vlasak and support education and research initiatives relating to orthopedic trauma in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation within the College of Medicine.
Richard earned his medical degree from the University of Florida in 1988. He is an Associate Professor in Adult Arthroplasty and Joint Reconstruction, Trauma at UF.
