Fund Purpose
Trust: Spendable income shall be used to support students at the University in the Bernie and Chris Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program with a preference for students from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Fl. If the program ceases to exist at the University, then the spendable income shall be used to support scholarship awards to first generation Florida students with low family incomes.

Established in 2013 by the estate of Victor Scott to support the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars program at the University of Florida.
Victor earned his bachelors in business administration from the University of Florida in 1950. He worked with Epperson and Company for 56 year
