This fund was established in 2013 by the estate of Samuel A. Davis to support the purchase, processing and digitization of library materials relating to all aspects of 20th century history.
Samuel earned a bachelor’s degree in forestry from the University of Florida in 1950. He retired from the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and the Korean conflict. Samuel also retired from the Florida State Forest Service and consulted on legal cases for many years afterward.
Samuel passed away in 2011.
