Grant and Shirle Herron Chair in Thoracic/Cardiovascular Surgery
Fund Purpose
GA: Support a professorship in the Dept. of Surgery, Division of Thoracic/Cardiovascular Surgery to be utilized by a faculty member for program development and research in the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Preference should be given to a physician who performs cardiovascular and thoracic translational research including, but not limited to the topics of kidney protection, lung transplant reperfusion injury and the minimally invasive surgical treatment for atrial fibrillation.
