This fund was established in 2012 by the estate of Charles A. Poekel, Sr. to support scholarships for undergraduate students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and/or fellowships for graduate students in the College of Engineering at the University of Florida.
Charles was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1937 and a master’s degree in 1938 from the College of Engineering at the University of Florida.
