Stanton and Margaret Morgan Fund
This fund was established in 2012 by the estate of Stanton and Margaret Morgan to support the University of Florida College of Medicine in the development of solutions to address problems faced by the elderly.
Stanton earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 1942. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant and later served in Germany and Vietnam. He worked for the U.S. Department of Labor in the Wage and Hour Division for 20 years.
Margaret a bachelor’s degree in home economics education from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Kentucky. Margaret taught at UKY for one year before joining the UF faculty. She was a professor for 12 years, editing books on education for health teachers. Margaret retired from UF in 2000.
Stanton passed in 2010 and Margaret passed away in 2012.
