Louise M. Eggleston Neurosurgical Support Fund
Ltr: Support research by the Department of Neurosurgery, specifically for research and development of the UF Radio Surgery System being conducted by Dr. William Friedman and Dr. Frank Bova. (See donor letter)
This fund was established in 2012 by the estate Robert “Bob” K. Eggleston to support research by the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in memory of his late wife, Louise.
Louise earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron. She was an elementary school teacher for 31 years, working in Akron, and Orlando and Clearwater, FL.
Bob served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida in 1956. He worked at Western Electric in 1940, and again from 1946 to 1951. Bob was an engineer for Honeywell, a company from which he later retired.
Louise passed away in 2009 and Robert passed away in 2012.
