Gary and Nancy Condron Florida Opportunity Scholarship Endowment
Fund Purpose
The spendable income of the Fund shall be used to support Florida Opportunity Scholarships to undergraduate students studying in the College of Design, Construction and Planning, or to graduate students studying in the College who had been Florida Opportunity Scholars (or who would have so qualified). If the Florida Opportunity Scholarships program ceases to exist at the University, then spendable income shall be used to support scholarship awards to first generation Florida undergraduate or graduate students with low family incomes (or to those who would have so qualified) in the College.

This fund was established in 2011 by Gary and Nancy Condron to give Machen Florida Opportunity Scholarships to undergraduate students, studying in the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning.
Gary earned a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of Florida in 1976. He is the CEO of the Conlan Company, a general contracting, construction management and commercial building company that was founded in 1987.
Nancy earned a master’s degree in business administration and a juris doctorate, both from the University of Florida in 198
