Dr. and Mrs. Michael Gilmore & Panhandle Orthopedics Legacy Endowment – AEF

This fund was established in 2011 by Michael and Laura Gilmore to support scholarships for student athletes at the University of Florida.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology in 1994 and a medical degree in 1999, both from the University of Florida.

He received his bachelor’s degree while playing as an All-American free safety and defensive captain of the 1993 and 1994 SEC Champion Florida Gators. Michael was one of the nation’s most honored scholar-athletes during 1993 and 1994 and remains one of the top scholar-athletes in UF’s football history.

Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science in 1993, a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine in 1998 and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 1998, all from the University of Florid
