This fund was established in 2011 by Al Warrington IV to support scholarship awards to student athletes at the University of Florida.
Al earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida in 1958. He was founding chairman and co-CEO of Sanifill, Inc., an environmental company in Houston, Texas that develops and operates nonhazardous solid waste landfills and land farms. Al is also a founder of Atlanta-based health and beauty aid manufacture, House of Cheatham, Inc.
Al is a past national president of the UF Alumni Association and Gator Boosters. In 1979, he was named a University of Florida Distinguished Alumnus, and was named an outstanding alumnus by the Fisher School of Accounting in 1985. In 1996, UF’s Warrington College of Business was named after him, and he was inducted into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame in 200
