James E. Lockwood Professorship in Pediatric Proton Therapy
GA: Support a professorship in pediatric proton therapy in association with the Proton Therapy Center at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Established in 2011 by the James E. Lockwood Charitable Foundation to support a professorship in pediatric proton therapy at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
The foundation was created by James E. Lockwood, Jr., who devoted himself into the passion of scuba diving and archaeology. James graduated from Beloit College in 1934.
James is also a pioneer in the fields of underwater breathing technology and underwater archaeology and photography. His technological inventions and vision for exploring underwater sites allowed the field of underwater archaeology to develop advancement.
He passed away in 2003.
