Fund Purpose
GA: Support the Florida Opportunity Scholarships; if the FOS program ceases to exist at UF, then the income shall be used to support first generation Florida students from families with low incomes, preference will be given to students from Hernando County.

This fund was established in 2011 by George and Eleanor Marholin to support the Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida.
George attended the University of Florida for two years while playing for the UF Football Team before graduating in 1957. He went on to earn a doctor of dental medicine degree from Emory Universit
