Russell and Mary Hyatt McCaughan Scholarship
Ralph McCaughan and Louise Robison established this fund in 2011 in honor of their father, Russell McCaughan. This fund supports scholarship awards to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Florida.
Russell was born in 1907. He earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1932 and 1935, respectively. Russell also earned a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Florida in 1940.
Russell practiced law in Fort Lauderdale, FL until his retirement in 1993. He served in WWII as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve V12 program.
