Fund Purpose
The spendable income from the Fund shall be used to support fellowship/assistantship awards to graduate students in the Department of Geography for travel and/or field work, with preference to those working in the field of physical geography. In order to comply with the current state of the law and fulfill the Donors' desire to increase diversity and advance women and other underrepresented groups in the field of geography, preference shall be given to students with a demonstrated commitment to such causes through participation in programs, organizations, and other efforts intended to bring more members of underrepresented groups into the field.

This fund was established by a group of donors in 2011 to support fellowship and assistantship awards for graduate students in the Department of Geography at the University of Florida.
David was a professor in the Department of Geography at UF for over 20 years and retired in 1988.
