This fund was established in 2011 by Jorge L. Benitez to support faculty in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management.

Jorge was born in Cuba and moved to the United States when he was ten years old. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 1981 with a degree in Accounting.
