Dr. Vernon Kisling Library Endowment
Pledge: Support the acquisition of environmental science resources in various formats for the Marston Science Library to meet the needs of our students and faculty research.
This fund was established in 2010 by Vernon N. Kisling, Jr. to support the acquisition of environmental science resources in various formats for the University of Florida Marston Science Library.
Vernon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, a master’s degree in library studies from Florida State University, a master’s degree in wildlife management from the University of Georgia and a doctorate from Nova University.
Vernon has served as a librarian at the UF Marston Science Library since 1989. He is responsible for various subjects, including the history of science, environmental sciences and agricultural sciences. Vernon published the following: Zoo and Aquarium History: Ancient Animal Collections to Zoological Gardens.
