Professor Harold W. Kemp Endowed Scholarship Fund in Architecture
Estate: Support scholarships in the School of Architecture within the College of Design, Construction and Planning.
This scholarship fund was established in 2010 by the estate of Harold W. Kemp to support scholarships in the School of Architecture within the College of Design, Construction and Planning.
Harold attended the University of Illinois, where he graduated with a bachelor of science in architecture with honors in 1949. He continued on at the University of Illinois, where he received his master of science in architecture in 1951.
In 1966 Harold began working at the University of Florida’s School of Architecture, where he worked for over 40 years. He was named Teacher of the Year in 1972, and was awarded the University of Florida Blue Key Distinguished Faculty Award in 1989. Kemp was selected by the College of Architecture–and by the students of the college of architecture as Teacher of the Year for two consecutive years in 1979 and 1980.
