Wright/Falls/Simmons Professorship in PSP/Atypical Parkinson’s

Fund Purpose
GA: support a professorship in movement disorders, with a focus on Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and atypical Parkinson's at the College of Medicine. The Donors recognize that currently PSP is a relatively small segment of the Parkinsons' family of brain disorders and that the professor will focus on this and other related movement disorder illnesses. However, the driving force will for everyone involved in this endeavor should always be to support the research, teaching and service related to the needs of PSP patients and their caregivers.

Robert “Bob” and Rebecca “Becky” Allen established this fund in 2010 in memory of Becky’s mother, Hazel Simmons Hodges. Becky is a retired bank executive who served as president of Barnett Bank of the Treasure Coast in Vero Beach, FL, Barnett Bank of S.W. Florida in Sarasota, FL and Barnett Banks Trust Company in Jacksonville, FL.
