Matthew’s GSD Type IX Fund
Glycogen Storage Disease type IX is caused by a deficiency of hepatic glycogen phosphorylase kinase which can cause damage to the liver (in Matthew’s case- cirrhosis) and muscles where they are deposited. The Glycogen Storage Disease Program at the University of Florida, College of Medicine is dedicated to being the leading center for GSD and donations are used directly to fund research endeavors for a cure and to enhance clinical treatment for children and adults with GSD.
