Rinker Fellowship for International Student Exchange

Fund Purpose
GA: support fellowships to students at ME Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction who participate in the international exchange programs with Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries with which the Rinker school may establish a student exchange program in the future; first preference shall be given to students with financial need; second preference shall be given to students based on merit

This fund was established in 2010 by the Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. Foundation, Inc. to support fellowships to students at M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction who participate in the international exchange programs with Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries.

Marshall founded Rinker Materials Corporation with just one dump truck. The company worked on large projects, such as Miami’s Florida International University and Walt Disney World. He was the company’s chairman until he sold it in 1988. Marshall also established the M.E. Rinker, Sr. Foundation, Inc., and eventually had the University of Florida’s School of Building Construction named The M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction.
