This fund was established in 2010 by Billy and Christine Donovan to support scholarships offered through the Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida.

Billy earned a bachelor’s degree from Providence College in 1987. Known as to “Billy the Kid” to teammates, Billy was one of the premier players of the men’s basketball team. He still holds three Providence single-season school records and was inducted into the Providence College Hall of Fame in 1999. Billy was the head coach for the University of Florida men’s basketball team from 1996 to 2015.
