GA: 1) at least 75% support scholarship(s) in Rinker School of Building Construction for a student(s) who has a 3.0 or higher GPA and demonstrates significant community service or alternatively, employment; 2) occasionally, (not to exceed 50%) to support teaching, research, and programs in the Rinker School of Building Construction in the discretion of the Director.
This fund was established in 2010 by John R. Sofarelli, Sr. to support scholarships in the Rinker School of Building Construction, as well as to support teaching, research and programs in the Rinker School of Building Construction.
John attended St. Petersburg College and received his associate’s degree in 1977. He then attended the University of Florida, where he received his bachelor’s degree in building construction in 1981.
