Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) Endowment
GA: support scholarship awards for students in the M E Rinker Sr School of Building Construction at the College of Design, Construction and Planning; preference shall be given to students who meet the following criteria: full-time student entering junior or senior year with proven academic merit, clear career objectives and have indicated in writing an interest in pursuing employment in South Florida.
This endowment was established by the Construction Association of South Florida to support scholarship awards for students in the M. E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction at the College of Design, Construction and Planning.
The Construction Association of South Florida was founded in 1950 and was originally called the Broward Builders Exchange. The organization was created to allow members to discuss different parts of the construction business with each other, as well as help them expand their social networks.
As time went on, the organization expanded into neighboring Dade and Palm Beach counties. In 1991, the group officially changed its name to the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF).
Today, CASF has over 500 members and is considered one of the most distinguished construction-related organizations in the South Florida region. According to CASF’s website, the group’s primary mission is to “serve and develop the South Florida construction industry and to improve the interests and welfare of its members within the public interest.”
