This fund was established in 1991 by Herbert E. Pickle to support the Department of Civil Engineering.
Born in Smithville, MS, Herbert Pickle earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in 1949. He is the former president of Widell Associates, Inc.
Herbert and his wife, Gloria, have three children, two of which are UF graduates.
