Green Skills Production Endowment
GA: support a technical training program within IFAS Extension, to focus on innovation & propagation & production of foliage, floriculture, & ornamental plant industries throughout FL & the region. Program will be guided by advisory committee of faculty & industry leaders to help IFAS Extension establish specific educational goals. Based on goals, MFREC faculty & admin will consult with industries to determine most appropriate & effective teaching strategies/program emphasis. Training offered on site with lab/greenhouse components at MFREC, Apopka FL and be base primarily in Orange Co with academic core /admin leadership housed at MFREC Apopka FL. Programs could also be offered thru long distance education technology at county extension offices or on site at industry participant facilities/properties.
