This fund supports need-based undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship awards to students in the University of Florida College of Nursing.

History

This fund was established in 2009 by the family of Dora M. Colaizzi to support need-based undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship awards to students in the University of Florida College of Nursing.

Dora was born in 1929 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. She was a registered nurse who earned a bachelor’s degree from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 1953.

Dora passed away in 2003. She left behind her husband, Frank, a UF professor emeritus of prosthodontics; one son; two daughters; and two grandsons.
