History
This fund was established in 2009 by the family of Dora M. Colaizzi to support need-based undergraduate scholarship or graduate fellowship awards to students in the University of Florida College of Nursing.
Dora was born in 1929 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. She was a registered nurse who earned a bachelor’s degree from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 1953.
Dora passed away in 2003. She left behind her husband, Frank, a UF professor emeritus of prosthodontics; one son; two daughters; and two grandsons.
