This fund was established in 2009 by the estate of George and Jane Yarb to support research in the Gastrointestinal Malignancies program within the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the College of Medicine.
Jane Yarb was born on July 10, 1923. Having suffered a stroke at the age of 19, she also supported stroke research. In 2008, she passed away, having been preceded in death by her husband, George, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1989.
