This fund was established in 2009 by the Sam Berman Charitable Foundation to support UF students so that they can participate in experiential projects that enhance the classroom education. This includes practical learning such as bridge building projects, experiments and other hands-on learning experiences. Sam Berman earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from UF in 1948. He passed away in 2004 and was survived by his wife, Carole.
