Thomas D. Furman, Jr. Excellence Fund in Environmental Engineering
This fund was established in 2009 by CDM, in honor of Thomas D. Furman, Jr., to support teaching, research and service activities in the Environmental Engineering Sciences Department at the UF College of Engineering.
Thomas D. Furman, Jr., PE, who was the chairman and chief executive officer of CDM from 1998 to 2008, received his BS in civil engineering in 1966 and master of engineering in 1967, both from the University of Florida. He is the son of Thomas deS. Furman who was a professor in the College of Engineering from 1950 to 1980.
