Carol Sofarelli Schraml Endowed Scholarship
GA: support scholarships to students with a min GPA of 3.25 who are seeking a degree in early childhood or elementary education at the College of Education; preference to be given to students originating from Pinellas or Hillsborough counties or from the state of Florida; as a tribute to Carol Sofarelli Schraml's selfless dedication to others through community service, preference will also be given to those students who demonstrate significant community service, or alternatively employment.
This fund was established in 2008 by John Sofarelli and his family in memory of Carol Sofarelli Schraml to support students at the University of Florida College of Education who are pursuing degrees in early childhood or elementary education.
Carol was born in 1950 in Long Island, NY. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Florida in 1972. Carol was known for her selfless dedication to others, as well as being involved with her community. During her free time, she enjoyed boating, diving and spending time with her family.
