Terrye Coggin Proctor
This scholarship was established by family and friends in 1986 in memory of Terrye Coggin Proctor to support merit scholarships in the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.
Terrye was born in 1950 in Birmingham, AL. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1972, a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling in 1973, and a juris doctorate in 1976, all from the University of Florida.
A member of The Florida Bar for nine years, she worked for the General Counsel’s Office in Jacksonville, the Department of Insurance and the Attorney General’s Office in Tallahassee, and as assistant state attorney in Pensacola before joining the law firm of Levin, Warfield, Middlebrooks, Mabie, Thomas, Mayes & Mitchell in Pensacola.
Terrye was also a member of the Pensacola Junior Women’s Club, and was on the board of directors of the Special Olympics and Favor House.
