Angelo and Alberta Anaclerio

This fund was established by Angelo Anaclerio in 2008 to support the educational purposes of the Department of Ophthalmology in the College of Medicine.

Angelo Anaclerio was born March 28, 1936. He earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1958. In 1962, Angelo went on to earn his doctorate in medicine, also from the University of Florida. Dr. Anaclerio began the residency program in ophthalmology at UF, but was drafted into the Air Force in 1964. When he returned home, Angelo completed his residency in Washington, DC and founded the Danville Eye Clinic, in Danville, IL, where he practiced for more than 35 years.
