This fund was established in 2008, by the estate of Marjorie S. Coffey, to support the George A. Smathers Libraries with special attention to miniature books and livres d’artiste.
Marjorie S. Coffey was born May 3, 1921, in Kokomo, IN. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from Syracuse University. She was an artist and writer and donated many of her manuscripts, books and art to the University of Florida’s George A. Smathers Libraries.
Marjorie S. Coffey passed away March 3, 2008.
